Spoiler: Spoiler Yes, yes I understand the violence trope but it was still a pointless story plot. Beautiful graphics and gameplay but its just bogged down by such a bad story. Regardless the character does very little to make me pity them
Still playing Animal Crossing... tomorrow starts the new summer content! I'm curious if I'll have to visit a friend in Japan to get the Tanabata festival items in July.
Sounds like fun! Been playing it a bit now since the hypes died down. It ain't a terrible game. Lots of stuff to do but my only problem is how much of a time sink it can be to build stuff lol.
Not really sure why it seems okay for you to refer to any woman as “some dike”, but it’s 100% unacceptable.
Agreed. Warnings issued. Hopefully this will be the last we see of such sentiments here, period, and the boot will be offered for repeat offenders. Thanks for pointing this out, folks, both up above and via report.
I’m not saying TLOU2 was perfect but I did enjoy it for what it was (a simple enough revenge story) hence my 8/10. I understand some fans of the first game’s frustrations so I don’t want to paint them all with the same incel brush “woke” culture would have you do BUT MAN it really seems like just about anyone who hates on the game can not resist the urge to gay bash nor string together a sentence that has modicum of intelligence behind it.
I dusted off my old Wii that I softmoded so I have 700+ NES games available. Mostly I've been playing Dr. Mario. I'm up to level 17!
Hey, how did you manage to do that if I might ask? I would love to get in on some classic NES action if I am able to. I don't really have access to a CD burner, which is how I am mostly familiar with soft-modding. Also, where to do these games come from??>>> Dr. Mario is my jam, I've lost so many hours to the original NES cart. Even just now thinking about it I can clearly hear the music blasting in my head.
PS - you can drop me a PM instead if you like @blakewest to keep this conversation going on this entirely hypothetical situation.
That's where I am stuck right now. I don't want my island to become "manicured" that it loses it's natural beauty. I still want it to retain the island vibes while looking awesome. Goal is Lothlorien. LOL But today...my storage is full. TIme to gift and sell.
Also, right now there's a ton of bugs to catch and they mostly are on trees! So I can't touch my trees too much.
Anyone playing Ghost of Tsushima? I'm having a lot of fun with it despite being thoroughly tired of open-world collect-a-thon type games. The photo mode is great too! Hit the spoiler tag for some that I've taken so far. Full gallery here: https://imgur.com/gallery/2WOsaY3 Spoiler: Screenshots One thing I haven't considered deeply is the historical authenticity of the game. It's about the 13th-century Mongol invasion of Japan mixed with a samurai culture that I think is closer to the 16th century, all under a heavy Kurosawa lens, which some commentators have called overly simplistic and shallow. So there's plenty of potential for iffy representation of the past. I'll be reading more to better understand.
Been wanting to get Ghost of Tsushima but its been sold out everywhere near me since its release. I know I can download it but I'd rather have a physical copy.
Im completely hooked. So much that I get up super early before the family to get a little time in. The worldbuilding and attention to detail is absolutely incredible. Reminds me a lot of breath of the wild in the way they handle the open world design. Great photos also!. Regarding historical accuracy, I think they had to make some concessions in order to make an interesting game. Same goes for the island itself. There are a few real life places but its been heavily embellished to make for varied scenery.
I think its safe to say Japan doesn't give a fuck as they themselves have praised the game for being an honorable representation of the 13th century. The games making bank right now. And that's impressive considering this is an American made game.
This is like saying "yeah, the US loves American Sniper" It's a fun game and I respect the effort that went into it deeply. History is just worth being critical about.
Got Ghost and I haven't done anything else for the last three days. I'm just grinding all the way through it and I'm not bored yet. Perfect timing too because my I FART A LOT ass wifi has been out the last three days as well.
Sorry I've been go so long. I got a little bit too addicted to Animal Crossing...I ended up buying a second switch and a second copy of the game, so my wife and I could both have separate islands and express ourselves differently on our respective islands. I may have bought Amiibo cards, as well...I didn't make time for anything except AC for a while, there. I'm still in the middle of an island-wide remodel. I gridded out the whole town in (roughly) equal rectangles, centered on town hall. Each villager has their own block, decorated based on their personality or their house decor theme. Problem is, I'm not sure what to do with all the extra space that doesn't have a villager house. But the fun's in the journey, right? Also picked up RE2 & RE3 remake. Both fun, but I enjoyed RE2 a lot more. It just felt more polished, and less episodic. We have played through three scenarios (haven't tried Claire B-run yet). And I tried several of the side-games, but I'm very bad at those, haha. Most recently, we watched a let's play of The Last of Us 2. I will probably buy it one day, but not at $60. I thought the story was interesting, if extremely bleak. I don't enjoy the Last of Us/Uncharted style of gameplay, so I don't think I will like the experience of actually playing through it. And I booted up Pokemon Sword again, to try to beat the game with all ground-types. I've done that in seven prior regions, and that's something I try to do with each new game. It's actually pretty challenging, intentionally off-balancing the game, if you don't over-level too much.
Animal Crossing is life, anyone have 2 Gemini fragments they'd be willing to trade? i have a Leo fragment, 6 Cancer fragments, also need gold and rusted parts
Started playing Among Us with my brother-in-law and my wife. We can never get more than 5 people on at the same time though. If anybody wants to hop in and play with us, please send me a message. I can send invites whenever we get on to play.
I’ve finally finished TLOU2 and Ghosts Of Tsushima (both incredible) now I’m alternating between the PGA game, Tony Hawk and the Avengers game. I bought the Avengers game for my son and I had no intention of playing it but all in all...it’s not bad. Good combat and the story is entertaining enough to keep your attention. Tried for a ps5 pre order but that was an utter disaster, really want to give the Miles Morales game a go. I’ll just cry into my tub of Haagen-Dazs and wait for Cyberpunk
On the bright side, the game might be discounted by the time you get the console. Can't believe they're charging $70 per now, excluding.the ever-growing slew of microtransactions. I need my cash for dolls Cyberpunk's release took some of the sting out of the ps5 preorder for me as well. I've been waiting for that game for that game for 7 years now!
