At the rate this is going, I feel like I might accidentally end up at this get together three months down the road and at a restaurant not even mentioned yet.
Remember when multiple people said they would put pics up? Remember that? Huh? Do you? Do you remember?
i'm still on the case! our photographer of the evening has been, shall we say, reluctant in signing up for dropbox so that i can get them posted on here. besides, the food was too good for us to stop and take photos. we chowed down for a solid two hours.
... i take you're trying to talk about me? yes , i brought a camera. no, i didn't take it out once the entire night. bryan already got his photos, or at least he should have... i did dropbox for him on monday. somebody yell at v, she was taking pics. i was too busy eating. and yes, i DID order the fried chicken for dessert.
i was referring to v. she has a handful of group shots, mostly after the plates had been utterly destroyed. you're the best photog of all of us, but i didn't see you take out your camera once the entire evening. booo! what's this about bryan? he took photos? gimme!
Yeah, we midwestern folk don't slow down and take pics of food the way some fancy west coast or snooty east coasters do. No time for that. Only time for getting fat and playing with toys.
see, this is what a real trade fest looks like: when i pulled out my bag of trades, the rest of you pulled out your bags of crickets. sad.
Yeah, yeah, I know... I'm sorry for the lag.. I thought I would have the pics up yesterday, but Brian and I have been out and about this whole weekend, and I haven't gotten to it. I don't have anything going on tomorrow afternoon, so I'll get on that. And be happy that they'll be up this quickly, usually I wait until the memory card is full (around 18GB) before I even upload them to my computer lol. Anyways, I'll put some up here after I get them online. And Bill, if you read this before then, give me a text tomorrow afternoon to give me a nudge lol.
Nope, just a portion. There's a permanent set then the "Expendables" if you will. Constant trimming/cutting/adding. Gotta make it all fit just right. OCD is a hell of a thing.
OCD, HA! Talk to JR about my "Toy Rules," sometime. It's like a mix of OCD, crazy. and ridiculousness.
Man, I got rules up the butt too. Sculpt, maker, spacing, colors, painted/unpainted, who painted it, who sculpted it, etc. I'm glad I'm not the only one hahaha.
If you don't have your rules then you have a bunch of stuff to trade... I mean, not naming names or anything but you know who you are...
since you guys have your rules (toys and rules? really?) and will never end up with anything to trade, we'll permanently close the door on trade fests. done!
I thought the trades at toy karma were pretty good, not italy good, but as stated maybe we midwesterners are just better at collecting (buying things we actually like) than the rest and as far as "says the man who's constantly rotating his collection." more power to him (since he sold me a smogun he didn't have room for )
and I know everyone from ohio went home happy as a pig in shit over what they got thru trades (so yet again thank all of you for your hospitality) later this week that friction motor goji is going to go get some play from an actual child
what negativity? we like to kick the crap out of each other for fun, all the while laughing and stuffing our faces with food. not always the best simultaneous combination of activities, but no one's serious here. are we? are we?! also, that whored-out goji is probably the best thing i've found in chinatown in all these years. the smeared lipstick is the best part that said, great child's toy!
No negativity? DAMNIT! Ahhhh, I'm just jerking his chain. The CASK is a tight group of sarcastic dicks who make fun of each other all the time. That's how we roll.
