I only learned of this last night. I think I'm going to try and go, looks crazy, and it'll be refreshing going to a non-tattoo convention for once. Edit: ticket purchased, flight and hotel reserved.
The USC vs UCLA football game is on that Saturday and at the Rose Bowl. The start time hasn't been announced yet but make sure to keep updated and plan accordingly since it could mean a lot more traffic.
It's a huge game but fortunately it is between two local teams so the hotels aren't too crazy and even the area won't be ridiculously swamped since people just go home after the game. But nonetheless, it will be busier than the usual day and there will be lots of cars coming through Pasadena.

^ The way they did kumon lottery last year was great. Get a wristband, draw numbers and post them on a sheet so people can come back to see if they won after a certain time.
