    Chris,

I'm so sorry to hear this. Ever since I read all of the updates on this thread, I can't stop crying for you. This universe can be really shitty at times..
I wish I could give you a giant hug right now. I also wish you all the best and I hope and pray that you find peace..

Also, in regards to this new development, if you'd like to take me up on my previous offer, it still stands..

From one human being to another, I love you man..

Incomprehensible, devastating news, Chris. I haven't been around SB for a while and, ironically, this summer it will be eight years since I was diagnosed with lymphoma myself (and just recently had a false alarm so it's been on my mind a lot lately). Like others have said, if you haven't already - get a second, third and even fourth opinion. I wish I had other words or advice to offer . . . other than support and strength. There really aren't any words . . . .

I hope all our good thoughts and wishes give you comfort Chris. Nate and I had hoped you were on the long hard path of getting better and beating cancer. This is devastating to read. Keep your spirit and strength up for your family and friends.

Chris - Your photos of the Gargantuas roaming an anonymous field were my literal introduction to this place back in 2007, and you were the first to properly haze me when I finally made my official debut through the gates back in '11, heh. I have and always will think of you as all but synonymous with this place. Thank you for all the sharing that you've done around here over the years, from your evolving habits as a collector to your drive in furthering your education to your pointed rages against the maddening machines. You are loved and appreciated and will not be forgotten. I wish you strength and I wish you peace.

Good grief, that's rotten. Chris, you have been uncommonly nice to me and by all accounts you're a great person. Very selfishly sorry that we can't keep you around forever. I hope that your caregivers help ease your pain and that you know that we'll miss you and not forget you.

You have the energy of this whole community behind you. I will not stop praying. If anyone isn't religious, just send your good vibes and thoughts to him. I do not want to loose a great boardie to such a heinous horrible disease. I think you have all our hearts and good vibes and I know you will get through this. God is there most when we can't help ourselves. I don't know your religious stance, but he is true and it took a lot for me to believe in "God" but when I finally experienced him it was quite something. Fight man, and have faith. Gob bless you my toy lovin brother.

Edited: I just saw the other devastating thread as I have been off the boards a while. I will still leave my original message below if anyone else would like more info on cannabis oil that I mentioned below. Lixx/Chris, you will be missed. <3

Maybe do try to get more opinions. If you sill would like to try something, I can add you to a cannabis oil group on Facebook (Just send me a DM if you're interested). There have been plenty of people in that group that were given up on by doctors or were battling stage four cancers; they wound up taking a daily dose of FECO (full extract cannabis oil) or RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) something along the lines of a grain of rice a day, and beat the odds. They pulled through, the lesions and masses shrunk and then disappeared.
Sadly, this oil is not covered by insurance and can be expensive. You can make stuff at home. They mention a lot of this in the FB group.

So if you are interested, I can add you to the group, just let know (if anyone else is interested, just let me know). It's a private group, so you have to be added and then confirmed by an admin. A lot of people in there are from states where cannabis is not legalized, so they are cautious and private.

I was wondering if anyone knows what will happen to all of Chris' photos posted on here?
Is there anyway to ensure they aren't unlinked some day? Not sure if he was using
photobucket or flickr, but everyone mentioning how great his pics were had me pause and
    think about it.

They should be safe for now, as the new owners of Flicker have pledged to keep things free and easy...

I've been wondering about this myself. He set his account so you cannot officially download the photos, but there are ways round that.
The only thing i'm not sure about is if an account has been inactive for a long time would it be deleted? I know that used to be the policy but more recently i don't think file space is such a big issue as it used to be.

It might be worth backing up his photos, but i could only do it at work which is not ideal, but i will give it a go when i get the time. Or someone else could do it, obviously. It would be a really serious shame to lose all his wonderful pics.

I would assume his toys will be split up and sold sometime in the future, so his photos will be all that remains of his world-class collection.

When I found out Flickr was bought by Smug Hug, you have had to agree to their terms of service as they ported over your pics to their servers. I think the due date was 05/29/2018. If you do not, pics will be deleted. Since Chris has over 5000 he definitely does not have the free accounts and his looks like a paid account. Don't know if he had time to read up the terms of service but I would save favorite pics now just in case and yes there is a way around the no download.

EDIT: Oh wait! Looks like his sister, Jennifer has access as she has posted a pic of Scorpion Man that arrived for him on 05/04/2018. Maybe asking her to see what she will do with his archive might be the best course.

I didn't really know Lixx too well, but I knew his pictures on Flickr and Instagram; and I'm sorry to hear he passed. I was thinking, and I have no real idea about how someone would go about it, but maybe with the help and blessing of his family, someone here could make a coffee table book/monograph of his toy photography to honor his memory. Maybe do a kickstarter, or talk to the S7 crew? I dunno. Maybe its not the right idea I'm not sure. Just wanted to bring it up.

This is Jen. Thank you all for your wonderful thoughts and memories of Chris, and for all of you who have reached out to support me. I’m going to do everything I can to preserve his accounts and make sure his pics aren’t lost or removed. I love the book idea, I would definitely need help with that, open to any ideas or suggestions

Hi Jen, thank you for thinking of us and helping us here on the Boards. Saving his accounts will save the photos in the toy databases he built (i.e. Butanohana database, which is near and dear to my heart in particular). He encouraged many of us with his kind words, advice, messages, and photos of his truly marvelous collection of toys! He is definitely missed, but he will always be a presence here.

I know I can safely say, we all appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness, especially during these challenging times. We wish you and the family all the best and send our heartfelt appreciation and love.

Thought about you a lot this past year Chris.

I finished what we discussed, in the vast consciousness of the Universe, please know how much you helped to bring it together.

    I miss you Brother!

Same here. As I crossed over with Chris in so many parts of this hobby, as well as general interests and life, seldom does much time go by without me reflecting on the loss. Chris, we miss you all the time, and I am very grateful to what we shared. Thank you for giving everything you did, and I hope my modest collection will someday be a tribute to your own.
